JOB DESCRIPTION:



Position Summary: IT Works is looking for a 
rising star from within the research 
administration community to fill a new Software 
Implementation Consultant position designed to 
help with our expanding business needs. The 
ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of 
the post award accounting business environment 
in the university environment, the ability to 
proactively support and understand our client 
business needs, and manage projects following 
our standard project lifecycle. 

This position entails business application 
software support over the phone, customer 
support skills to resolve client issues, project 
coordinator experience to deliver IT Works 
software using standard methods, and ability to 
document feedback from clients for programming 
staff to design additional capabilities. 

Experience Required: 
Previous working knowledge of ERP or other 
financial management systems; 
Demonstrated strong analytical and 
troubleshooting skills; 
Managed multiple projects with high quality 
results; 
Proven track record of planning, executing and 
delivering small to medium size projects as 
scheduled; 
Accounting background considered an asset; 
Three(3) to Five (5) years of hands on 
experience in post-award grant accounting is 
ideal; 
Working proactively with principal investigators 
and accountants at a university or research 
institute is helpful; 
Proficiency in running IT Works Department 
ManagerTM software desired; 
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and 
accounting software a plus; 
Solid understanding or capability to learn MS 
Access; 
Attributes of candidate: 
Willingness and desire to become expert user of 
IT Works Product Suite; 
Must be self motivated and have excellent 
interpersonal, organizational and communication 
skills; 
Must demonstrate the ability to work 
independently and proactively with limited 
supervision; 
Flexible and adaptable to change: must be able 
to handle multiple tasks and prioritize 
according to customers needs; 
Ability to communicate effectively and 
professionally with all levels of employees and 
management in a client setting.
