JOB DESCRIPTION:


Director of Quality


Responsibilities:
Establishes and implements Quality strategies, 
philosophies and objectives across all sites of 
the company and develops future quality 
strategies. 
Supports plant QAs with vision, leadership and 
management. 
Harmonizing processes between KNA facilities and 
KNA & AKW head quarter. 
Provides a monthly Quality Assurance metrics 
report to show overall company performance. 
Assesses vendor/supplier quality programs, 
capabilities and performance using the AKW 
Supplier Management System. 
Provides necessary quality assurance support, 
strategies, and tools in all phases of new 
product development process and the start of the 
production. 
Manages and responds to QA issues with related 
groups such as development, service, customer 
support, AKW central QA, and Kärcher plants. 
Coordinate Stop Orders and follow up actions. 
Developing and monitoring plant/department 
specific QIC/PI/PA plans, initiating appropriate 
action (rework, release) to improve outcomes. 
Initiate and follow up warranty claims for units 
purchased at AKW. 
Continually reviews and coordinate requirements 
related to safety, CSR, and environmental 
regulations at KNA locations and between AKW 
head quarter. 
Prepare the KNA Management report and the annual 
ISO plan. Support and coordinate ISO 9001/14000 
certification. 
 
Requirements 
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related 
fields, and more than ten (10) years managing a 
successful quality assurance function is 
required. 
Excellent written and verbal communication 
skills in English. Additional Spanish skills are 
a plus. 
Demonstrated highly effective organization, team 
orientation and leadership skills are essential. 
Willingness to travel (abbr. 30 days a year) 
between US locations (4), Mexico and German 
Headquarter is required. 
Experience in manufacturing processing, testing 
systems and advanced quality systems. 
Excellent problem solving, risk analysis and 
negotiation skills. 
Must have exceptional training capabilities. 
Knowledge of industry research, project 
management, and development processes. 
Knowledge of ISO9001/ISO9014 standards. 
Experience in working with suppliers as a 
partner to assure they provide products that 
meet our quality expectations and standards.
