commerce platform. You will collaborate with 
other team members of the software development, 
technology, product development, and marketing 
departments to define project requirements and 
build state-of-the-art software to take aRes 
Travel, private label booking engine to the next 
level competing with other OTAs including 
Travelocity, Orbitz and Expedia. You must be 
able to work with in a team, be a quick learner, 
have good communication skills, and be able to 
maintain large software projects through their 
lifecycle: architecture/design, implementation, 
testing, and post-release maintenance and 
support. Experience with specific tools, 
frameworks, and libraries, while appreciated, is 
much less important than a solid understanding 
of core web technologies, familiarity with 
modern design techniques and development 
practices, and platform-agnostic problem solving 
skills. 

Desired Skills and Experience

Advanced PHP5 programming knowledge and skill 
Applied knowledge of modern web technologies, 
languages, protocols, and conventions, including 
(X)HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, HTTP, REST, SOAP, DOM, 
AJAX, etc. 
Extensive experience with at least one major JS 
framework (jQuery, ExtJS, Backbone.js, 
SproutCore, Prototype, Dojo, etc.) 
Strong grasp of JavaScript aside from any single 
framework or library API 
Hands-on experience with testing/quality 
assurance strategies and methodologies 
Solid SQL skills, including query optimization, 
views, triggers, and stored procedures (MySQL 
experience a plus) 
Working knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and 
Apache 
Familiarity with at least one version control 
system (CVS, SVN, Git, Mercurial) 
Demonstrable experience with at least one other 
programming language (Ruby, Python, Java, C, 
C++, C#, Perl)
