Responsible to assist in the planning, 
introduction, implementation, and improvement of 
products, processes, and procedures into the 
manufacturing system to ensure the attainment of 
desired objectives for the least cost, and to 
recommend to management developments in 
manufacturing that will enhance the 
profitability or competitive position of the 
company. 
    
Duties and Responsibilities  Plan and coordinate 
the introduction of new products, parts and 
manufactured processes including routings, 
processes and methods. 
Determine and justify expenditures for 
additional captial facilitie, tools, dies, 
fixtures, etx. required for the manufacturing 
process. 
Schedule and conduct design and post-audit 
reviews of new/current products to obtain the 
designed quality at the least cost. 
Analyze and participate in discussions with 
Purchasing and Engineering in the "make versus 
buy" decisions for product parts. 
Review and analyze new developments or assigned 
projects in Manufacturing Engineering Systems, 
processes or procedures; recommend action 
required, and implement and follow up to ensure 
completion of project. 
Provide floor support for assigned functional 
area. 
Work with Product Engineering on single input, 
multiple output engineering functions. 
Approve all tooling, either manufactured or 
purchased, used in assigned functional area.
