Overview: The Solutions Engineer holds a key role in our Sales organization by providing clients and prospects with a realistic picture of the savings that can be realized from using Meridium solution. Using his/her knowledge of the process industry and knowing the issues they face, the Solutions Engineer is able create a value proposition and identify changes to critical work processes that are required to deliver the benefits. With this information the Solutions Engineer is able to guide Sales and key decision makers to an optimal solution and define the savings potential in a credible presentation that causes the prospect to want to buy now. Responsibilities: · Lead and facilitate discovery calls with prospects and customers to understand requirements. · Design and develop presentations and software demonstrations, and articu;ate value proposition. · Conduct intermediate value assessment and deliver and present resulting business case to prospect. · Stay current on software functionality and utilize internal resources or self to maintain laptop to current software versions and available integrated components. · Participate in Account Planning with Account Executives. · Provide trade show support. · Present and demonstrate software at Meridium User Conferences. · Assist other Solution Engineers in demonstration prep, troubleshooting, and collaboration, as needed. Qualifications: · 10 plus years developing, presenting and validating business cases for continuous process industries. Some of this time spent presenting to C-Level Management. · Strong working knowledge of Mechanical Integrity. · Ability to quickly learn the Meridium Software product and be able to demonstrate the detailed features and functions of the product in a compelling manner. · Risk Based Inspection (RBI) experience. · Knowledge of historical trends and margins for the process industry. · Tuned into current and future process industry trends, obstacles and opportunities. · Versed in financial terms (ROE, ROA, RONA, ROCE all the way through variable and fixed costs down to the plant floor). · Understands key KPI’s for Utilization, Availability, Reliability and the complexities associated with figuring these out at large integrated production plants. · Plant engineering background with work experience at a plant level and corporate level. · Ideally would have spent time in inspection, operations and maintenance at some point. · Has worked on process improvements at a plant and corporate level. · Understands the day to day challenges of operating a plant. · An MBA is a plus. · We will consider someone from a “consulting/vendor” background if they have strong working knowledge of Mechanical Integrity.
