JOB DESCRIPTION:


Job Summary:

It is the responsibility of the Product Manager 
to develop and market new advanced rich media 
products/services/partnerships to oversee 
PointRoll's overall product strategy and 
execution for product suites. To ensure success, 
the Product Manager must possess a myriad of 
skill sets. The Product Manager must guide a 
team that is responsible for product line 
contribution as a business unit. The 
requirements of this role extend from increasing 
the profitability of existing products to 
developing new products for the company. Lastly, 
the individual who takes on this position will 
both build products out of existing ideas, and 
help develop new ideas based on his or her 
industry experience and his or her contact with 
customers and prospective clients.
 

  Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

§          Specifies market and product 
requirements for existing and future products by 
conducting market research supported by on-going 
visits to customers and potential customers.
§          Assists in developing, defining 
product strategy, product roadmaps, product 
requirements documents, competitive/market 
research, and customer feedback mechanisms for 
data-driven analytical tools and rich media 
products targeted at the online advertising 
market.
§          Assists in the development and 
execution of all product strategy, product 
positioning and go-to-market strategies 
worldwide for PointRoll's suite of products and 
services. This responsibility includes price 
definition, positioning, competitive analysis, 
sales collateral content, and customer 
presentation, all in cooperation with the 
product development and corporate marketing 
organizations.
§          Gathers and organizes feedback 
(internal and external) for new products and 
features that will be designed, built, launched, 
and continually supported and updated for the 
online advertising market.
§          Assists in the development and 
marketing of new products and solutions based on 
existing company strengths and assets. Ensures 
future product releases reflect experience 
gained from external market activities, customer 
discussions, usage analysis, competitive 
response, and market research.
§          Studies the market to understand 
problems, and finds innovative solutions for the 
broader market.
§          Serves as the internal and external 
evangelist for product offerings, occasionally 
working          with the sales channel and key 
customers.
§          Meets expectations for attendance and 
punctuality.
 


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

§          Has experience working with Analytic 
dashboards, metrics, web service API’s designed 
to execute automated web transactions
§          Interactive ad serving experience and 
strong knowledge of adserving, web technologies 
and industry business and pricing models such as 
CPM, CPA, CPC, etc.
§          Experience authoring MRD’s, PRD’s, 
Use cases and Functional Specifications as 
needed.
§          Experience working in standard 
development methodologies such as Agile, 
Interactive etc.
§          Ability to lead cross functional 
teams with development, sales and marketing as 
the technical liaison for new/improved features 
and functionality tied to business impetus.
§          Self-directed and comfortable working 
within a small, freewheeling entrepreneurial 
environment.
§          Excellent verbal and presentation 
skills and an ability to work either 
individually on a project or within a team 
environment.
§          Demonstrated ability to manage 
details, efficient work habits, and flexibility 
to work in a fast-paced environment. 
§          Ability to accept interruptions as 
part of the routine.
 

Computer & Software Experience:
§          Microsoft Office: Excel, Access, 
Word, PowerPoint, Wiki
 
Education & Business Experience
§          Minimum bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in 
Information Science, Business, or Engineering 
from four-year College or University mandatory.  
Graduate degree preferable.
§          5+ years experience expected
