Job Summary: The Business Development position is responsible for developing and securing new business opportunities that lead to continued growth. This person will follow a systematic approach to develop new business opportunities. The successful candidate will work from the corporate office. This person will have unmatched advantages in the marketplace; largely due in part to the weekly sales training, company marketing, trade shows, newsletters and the quality products that our company manufactures. The ideal candidate will help drive the direction of the organization to match the Strategic Plan. This includes a full understanding where the organization is headed and by calling on the ideal clients to fit the structure of the organization. In this position the person will call on both existing customers and new customers. As a Business Development professional you will be responsible for prospecting and calling on businesses. You will meet with buyers, engineers, business owners and decision-makers and introduce them to our company. (Some regional travel will be required) This person will work closely with the production planning, estimating, manufacturing and all internal people of the organization to insure complete customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Operate with integrity in every aspect of their behavior. Proven track record of achievement in sales growth and new business development. Have experience in the metalworking, machining, and/or tool & die industries. Experience identifying and developing new market segments. Experience giving presentations of a semi- technical nature. Strong oral and written communication skills required with all members of any size organization. To establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area. Experience using contact management software. Ability to develop and implement a prospecting plan for new accounts. Be goal-oriented and have a strong work ethic. Be able to accept rejections from customers. Have excellent organizational skills. Work well in a team environment. Have a valid state drivers license with an acceptable record.
