The qualified candidate will hold a B.S. in 
Mechanical Engineering and have a minimum of 5 
years of practical working experience providing 
proactive reliability centered maintenance using 
predictive and preventative maintenance tools in 
a large plant environment, preferably within the 
LNG, Petrochemical, Refinery or Gas Processing 
industries. In addition, candidate will have a 
demonstrated knowledge of ASME, API, DOT and 
other standards and codes that govern industry 
and ideally hold an active Professional 
Engineering License. The ideal candidate will 
have experience with rotating equipment and a 
minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, 
have a proven track record of safety awareness 
and will exhibit exceptional interpersonal, 
written, verbal, troubleshooting and analytical 
skills.

Primary responsibilities of the Mechanical 
Engineer at our SPLNG facility include the 
proactive monitoring of ongoing availability, 
health and reliability of terminal mechanical 
systems and rotating equipment and providing 
troubleshooting support to the Maintenance team 
with terminal equipment and mechanical issues. 
In addition, responsibilities will include the 
supervision of activities of a Mechanical
Engineering Analyst, support of engineering & 
construction, as well as other terminal capital 
project initiatives and to ensure regulatory 
compliance through the support of SPLNGs 
preventative maintenance program.
