POSITION SUMMARY: 

Position is responsible for the accurate and 
timely filing of large volumes of state and 
local sales/use taxes, taking into account 
appropriate taxing jurisdictions. Requires the 
ability to work independently on sales and use 
tax issues with knowledge of tax laws.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Prepare sales and use tax returns for filing.
? Reconcile sales tax accounts as scheduled.
? Research sales / use tax issues as required or 
as situations arise.
? Coordinate administration of sales / use tax 
issues and notices. Prepare correspondence in 
response to various taxing authorities. 
? Assist with sales tax audits.
? Assist with property tax compliance by 
processing tax payments, gathering data for 
annual returns and maintaining proper accruals 
in the property tax workpaper.
? Facilitate good communication with federal and 
state authorities, auditors, vendors, and the 
Company?s management.
? Assist with other projects or tasks as 
requested.


QUALIFICATIONS:
? A positive attitude and ability to work 
effectively as a member of a team.
? Must be self-motivated with a strong 
initiative to learn areas in tax.
? Must be highly motivated and able to 
prioritize multiple tasks and organize work to 
meet deadlines without direct supervision.
? Must possess good analytical skills and good 
written and verbal communication skills.
? This position normally requires the education 
that comes with a 4-year degree in accounting or 
similarly related field. Equivalent professional 
experience and a two-year degree will also be 
considered.
? Demonstrated ability to effectively apply 
principles of accounting in a business 
environment gained through approximately 2 years 
of related experience.
? Knowledge of accounting and financial areas a 
plus.
? Equipment Used: Computer and general office 
equipment (e.g. telephone, facsimile machine, 
copy machine, etc.)
