JOB DESCRIPTION:

Come work for a team that is at the center of Microsoft's cloud
strategy, delivering software plus services to IT pros and
information workers. As a Senior Technical Writer on the Business
Online Experience (BOX) UA team, you will play a role designing and
building the online customer experience for subscription-based cloud
services, such as hosted Exchange and SharePoint.

We are looking for an experienced technical writer who is
comfortable working with engineering teams, as well as stakeholders
from support, marketing, and business operations, to develop a best-
in-class user interface and a superior online assistance experience.

Criteria for success include:
5+ years of experience developing user interface text that triggers
a successful path for customers.
5+ years of experience writing clear, accurate, and comprehensive IT
pro and information worker content that documents customer
experiences, not tool features.
Strong familiarity with the customer lifecycle, from pre-sales,
registration, provisioning, and billing, through managing
administrative services for an enterprise.
Ability to think strategically when collaborating with Developers,
Testers and Program Managers to develop new or revised features and
to document those features in online help content.
Ability to deliver next-generation online assistance experiences,
including demos, blogging, and social networking content.
Experience analyzing customer feedback and responding to it to
improve the customer experience.
Strong project management skills. Able to define new processes and
schedules for multiple projects and lead those projects to timely
completion.
Familiarity with online help systems and a continuous publishing
schedule.
Proficient using the following tools: Microsoft Office, Product
Studio, and SharePoint. Experience with DxStudio and Source Depot
preferred.
A degree in computer science, technical communications, or English,
combined with established technical writing experience in the
software development field.
