Responsibilities: 

The qualified applicant will be responsible for 
large system design efforts while serving as 
lead engineer on major projects from concept 
through release to production; Provide technical 
expertise coupled with proven leadership skills 
in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, DFM and 
Lean Design; Provide guidance to junior members 
of engineering staff and technical insight to 
all levels of engineering and management; 
Conduct in-depth quantitative analyses of design 
performance for proposed and developing designs 
using hand and computer aided methods; Make 
technical recommendations/decisions on projects 
and develop engineering statements of work and 
cost and man power estimates for proposed 
projects; Lead the development of and present 
technical design reviews; Report technical and 
programmatic status to programming, functional 
and executive management.

Requirements:
 
BSME 
10 years minimum related design experience and 
proven success with application of Lean Design 
Prior experience as a senior design engineer in 
a new product development setting 
5 years minimum experience in SolidWorks solid 
modeling 
Proficiency in engineering computer tools used 
for design analysis and verification required 
Direct experience with design analysis of 
mechanical structures, electromechanical 
mechanisms, sheet metal packaging and high 
reliability motion mechanisms desired.
