Process engineers develop the most efficient and 
highest quality methods for semiconductor 
manufacturing through working closely with both 
equipment and production counterparts.  This 
process engineering position involves sustaining 
and TR&D development for both CMOS and bipolar 
technologies for implant and rapid thermal 
anneal (RTA) processes. 
  

The successful candidate will: 

Qualify, characterize, and set up of new tool(s) 
for production in high volume manufacturing 
facility. 
Use model based problem solving to drive to 
understanding root cause of problem then based 
on what is learned; implement necessary changes 
to eliminate problem recurrence. 
Work on module development and characterization 
of TR&D processes as well as implementation of 
process optimization(s) on existing processes 
through all stages of production. 
Be able to complete excellent data analysis and 
troubleshooting skills at wafer or equipment 
level that will lead to root cause of either 
discrepant material or product yield 
improvement. 
Provide excellent operating specifications and 
training to support production group as well as 
mentoring of process engineering technicians. 
 

Job Requirements: 

Applicants must have 5+ years experience 
A MS or PhD degree in material science, 
electrical or chemical engineering, physics or a 
related field (an advanced degree is required). 
Candidates should have course work and/or 
working knowledge of semiconductor process 
technology, semiconductor fabrication, and/or 
device physics as well as 5 or more years of in 
fab process experience 
Candidates should have hands-on sustaining 
experience in fab in the implant and RTA area.  
Experience with the following toolsets is 
desirable:  AMAT9500, Varian E500, Axcelis HE, 
and/or AST2800 RTA. 

Candidates should be highly motivated, goal 
oriented, detail oriented and possess the 
ability to aggressively execute complex process 
experiments while maintaining the focus to 
solving the problem(s) either as part of a team 
or individually.

In addition to technical excellence, this 
position requires superb communication (written 
and interpersonal), ability to summarize and
